The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular releasing him for abuse during the incident. A circular issued on Monday (June 13) says he received a "severe punishment" after he was accused of wrongdoing.
According to the circular, Saidur Rahman published an obscene, indecent and offensive poem under the pseudonym 'Rahman Henry' from his Facebook ID 'Rahman Henry' at 6:47 pm on October 6, 2020. On the one hand, it is indecent and unprofessional behavior on the part of a government employee. As the image of the administration was tarnished in this, a departmental case was filed against him for misconduct as per the Public Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. He was later summoned for questioning and asked if he wanted a private hearing. Officers were appointed to investigate as his written reply and personal hearing statement were not considered satisfactory.
At the end of the investigation, the investigating officer gave an opinion, the allegation has been proved beyond doubt. The initial decision to dismiss him was made in accordance with the Government Employees (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. He was also issued a second show cause notice.
It is alleged that the ambassador provided the information to the prime minister, who was not present at the hearing. At the end of the ancillary process, he was fired.
